The winter/spring season is upon us and furniture donations traditionally slow at this time. This year however we are severely low and in danger of failing in our mission to provide for those in need. We badly need kitchen tables, recliners, sofas, loveseats and bedding. We need kitchen supplies such as flatware, pots & pans and dishes. Please search your home and your heart to see if you can help us out.

RFF Helps Out After Apartment Fire

An early morning news alert had been posted to the front page of the Panatagraph website last week that read: Fire evacuates Normal apartment complex. After reading this RFF staff got on the phone with the Red Cross and let them know that we wanted to help. The next day a still limping from her burns lady visited RFF and we are glad we have gotten her on her way to recovering from this tragedy.

Bloomington Extreme Football Toss Event

Recycling Furniture for Families has been given to opportunity to increase our community profile by being out in front of the Bloomington Colosseum for home games of the Bloomington Extreme Football Team.

It has been a real pleasure working with General Manager Beau Bradle. RFF has had two events so far with the final one coming up June 3rd. If you would like to come out and have fun helping us run the football toss game then call the office and let us know.
